Just a quick note to welcome the new member/s that have just or are about to join the group. I have added one more new member today, (my mother i am proud to say), but i know there are many out there just itching to join up. Once we organize all of Alaska we can take over the world, mwhahaha....sorry.

To the rest of the group, i hope all is well and spring brings much inspiration for you. AND of course, nothing is set in stone concerning devMEETs or contests or any of that yet, so we are still (as always) taking suggestions.

, i love your ideas for the devMEET, thanks for the input. I think you are on the right track with a simple, little hike. We'll be talking.

Howdy fellow Alaskan artists!

here. Not a lot to report right now, just would like some opinions on a few things.
and I have been talking about changing the way we do featured member deviations. It would be nice if members were to submit deviations that they would like to be featured, you know, get your pride on and flaunt your goods! OR MAYBE, nominate another artist's work for recognition. Perhaps at the end of the year whoever had the most pieces featured would win something...like my everlasting respect (WEEEEEEEEE)!

Also, not a lot of feedback on the whole devMEET thing...I still like the idea of doing it somewhere that could inspire us all. Maybe on a weekend, somewhere pretty and easy to get to so we could sort rides for all who need them. All interested please drop a quick note so we could get a roll call going...oh yeah, and sort out WHEN we should do this.
If no one speaks up i'm just gonna go hang out with in Ketchikan.

And also, any contest ideas would be welcome! Think of it as a challenge to your peers.
Get them to flex their artistic muscle...if it is left up to me i will come up with something stupid like...i dunno...street signs with the most bullet holes in them?!?

Okay guys, i'm reaching here. We can only hope or replace this journal with something more informative and/or entertaining. Until then, keep up the good work people.

Hello everyone, here,

I don't know about you, but i am really enjoying the warmer temps. I can't wait to go on long hikes and take many photos of lush green forests overflowing with critters of all kinds. I can feel it, the time is almost nigh for the outdoor adventures...but, i hope i am not speaking too soon. I wouldn't be suprised if the snow had one last hurrah. There has been talk of a DevMEET, yet no details have been worked out. This means all suggestions are welcome as to where and when such a thing could take place.

Aloha to who is suffering through all the horrors that come along with a long vacation in Hawaii. I am sure all of our thoughts are with him and hope he weathers through these difficult times quickly.

Hello AKDA's, here...

Thinking about doing something new here... and would appreciate your feedback. We're gonna try to update the featured deviation on a regular basis to give props to all the artists, poets, photogs, and what-not, but it might take a while to get around to posting YOUR art on this sight. Soooo... we're snaggin' a thumbnail out of your gallery and posting right next to your icon. That way, everyone's blood, sweat, and tears will be shared... and we can get to know each other better... and possibly get inspired. Anyway... it will take a little time since we'll have to check everyone's gallery... so please be patient. We'll start with AKDA's founder... and move on down the list. if there's a certain Deviation you want posted on here... drop a line and let us know. We'll place it next to your icon. Cheers!
